Valentine Q2: Summer, Brands & Everything In Between

What We've Been Seeing
Summer is finally here. Festivals are in full swing, pubs are spilling out onto pavements, rooftop bars are buzzing, and we're all determined to make the most of every bit of sunshine…

It's been an interesting few months for brands in our space. From the continued rise of RTDs and the changing summer drinking rituals to the way consumers are engaging with experiences, culture and community, there's been plenty to catch our attention.

Of course, the World Cup has held our attention over recent weeks. Official sponsors have produced standout work, but the most talked-about moments have come from brands outside FIFA’s official partners.

Nike’s “Rip the Script” campaign has been hailed as a masterpiece. Cross-cultural casting and fan reposts have amplified it far beyond the usual ad cycle, with Campaign reporting nearly three times the social engagement of tournament partners like Adidas and Coca‑Cola. Meanwhile, Levi’s turned FIFA’s clean‑stadium rule into a masterclass in guerrilla PR. When officials ordered Levi’s Stadium’s signage covered, the brand wrapped the logo in white tarpaulins and weaponised the blackout across its socials. The redacted batwing didn’t disappear; it starred, exposing the clash between global rights and local identity and proving that when denied official status, a sharp idea can still hijack the headlines.

Ideas Worth Sharing
Alongside our client work, we've also been exploring a few topics influencing the future of brand experience and consumer behaviour.

Last month, we officially welcomed Rosie Palmer as Valentine's Creative Head.
Rosie brings a wealth of experience across branding, content, experiential marketing and integrated campaigns, with an award-winning portfolio of work spanning brands including Häagen-Dazds, Glenfiddich, Starbucks, Heineken, Birra Moretti, Hendrick's Gin and Wimbledon.

Having collaborated with Valentine for years, making it official feels incredibly special, and we're excited about what's next.

Until Next Time...
Thanks for catching up with us.

We'll continue sharing the work we're creating, the ideas we're exploring and the trends we're seeing across the world of brand experience, experiential marketing and consumer behaviour. If there's something you'd like us to write about, or a challenge you'd like to discuss, we'd love to hear from you.
